I’m David. I’m a 16-handicap amateur golfer who plays about 20 rounds a year and thinks way too much about gear.

DMac Golfs started because I kept getting asked the same questions by friends: What ball should I play? Is that launch monitor worth it? Should I buy used clubs? I figured I’d just write down what I actually know, from the perspective of someone who is genuinely average at golf and okay with that.

I’m not a teaching pro. I don’t work in the golf industry. I’m a weekend golfer with a garage full of balls, a Rapsodo MLM2Pro on my hitting mat, and too many opinions about equipment.

Everything I write comes from personal experience. When I recommend something, it’s because I own it or have used it. When I say something didn’t work for me, I mean it.

That’s the whole thing. Just one guy, his golf bag, and an honest take.
